Hours

For the convenience of our clients and to help you in emergency and critical care situations, we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For appointments within our general and specialty practices, we have the following appointment hours available:

General Practice Monday to Friday: 9 am - 9 pm Saturday & Sunday: 9 am - 5 pm Internal Medicine Monday to Friday: 9 am - 5 pm Saturday: 9 am - 5 pm Sunday: 9 am - 5 pm Dermatology Monday to Friday: 9 am - 5 pm Saturday: 9 am - 5 pm

Surgery Monday to Friday: 9 am - 5 pm Radiology Monday to Friday: 9 am - 5 pm Emergency and Critical Care 24-hour availability

Visiting Hours

Our goal is to accommodate all of our clients and to make our patients as comfortable as possible during their hospitalization. We do realize that this can be a stressful time for you and your pet, and we encourage you to visit them while they are staying with us. However, we ask that you please be patient with us if there is a waiting period prior to visiting your pet. We hope the following information will be helpful in assisting you with your pet's hospitalization and visiting times. Please be aware that Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital is a 24-hour emergency facility and there may be a waiting period prior to your visit. Though we are open 7 days a week, including holidays, there may be times that you will have to wait 30 minutes or longer. On holidays, if you do choose to visit on these days, we may have to ask you to leave and come back due to emergency case loads.

Visiting hours are 7 days a week from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

We ask that you do not visit between the hours of 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm because this is our busiest treatment time. This may cause you to be asked to wait until treatments are done and/or your visiting time may be cut short due to the treatments that will need to be performed on your pet.

We also ask that you limit your visiting time to 15 minutes per visit to allow for other clients to visit with their pets as well.

If you wish to speak to the doctor in charge of your pet, please be aware that they are in rounds from 8:00 am until 9:00 am every day. In the meantime, you are always welcome to leave voicemail for them, or speak with a technician to get the current status of your pet.
